Referee & Coach Training

Are you thinking about being a 10U, 12U, 14U Coach or a Referee with Middleville AYSO? If so we have information regarding the winter and summer AYSO Super Camp.

These will be the best opportunities for you, and any aspiring youth referees, to complete the in-person trainings that are required to hold these vital volunteer roles.

WINTER - Super Camp **Enroll Now**
Date: Saturday, February 3, 2024
Time: 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM
Place: Kroc Center, 2500 Division Ave, S, Grand Rapids, 49507
Classes offered: 10U field, 12U full coach, Intermediate Coach (14U), Regional Referee, and Intermediate Referee.

How To: Find and Enroll in an In-Person Course
The courses are being held by Region 1634 and are labeled with Area 8J Super Camp.

SUMMER - Super Camp
Date: Saturday, July 20, 2024
Time: 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM
Place: Kroc Center, 2500 Division Ave, S, Grand Rapids, 49507
Classes offered: 10U field, 12U full coach, Intermediate Coach (14U), Regional Referee, and Intermediate Referee.
*This session is not open for enrollment yet

Youth Referees
Any 10U or older player is eligible to be a Regional Referee. This is a great opportunity for a player to view the game from a different perspective.
-There are some very specific steps to take to make sure a new youth referee is enrolled correctly. Reach out to [email protected] for assistance.

Adult Referees
We are in need of more adult referees as well. If you are not able to commit to coaching a team but still want to help support the club, being a referee for a couple hours on Saturdays is a fantastic way to help out.

Additional Notes
-Lunch is provided
-The 10U classroom portion is online with the in-person field session starting at 12:30 pm. (You may arrive at noon for lunch before the field session begins)
-You must register online in AYSOU. If you do not enroll via AYSOU you will not receive credit for the course.
-There is no cost to you as a volunteer. Middleville AYSO covers the $8 per person cost.
-The 10U & 12U field sessions are held together. For any coaches that plan to take the 10U training, you might as well come the whole day and get certified as both a 10U coach AND a 12U coach. You'll just need to register for both courses to receive credit for both. This would enable you be not need to attend the 12U course when you move up with your player.
-The field session for the Winter Super Camp will be indoors. The field session for the Summer Super Camp will be outdoors
