Open Board Member Positions
Middleville AYSO is on the hunt for our newest volunteer board members. Could that be you?
AYSO’s volunteer foundation ensures that it’s all about what’s good for kids. It helps keep AYSO affordable while operating in a business manner. It is because of our volunteers that AYSO is able to help so many in our community give happy, healthy kids a sport they can enjoy for life. Every hour of time that you volunteer each season is an important contribution to Middleville AYSO.

Coach Administrator
One of the 7 required Regional Board positions. The AYSO volunteer position of regional coach administrator is intended to administer a quality
coaching program within the region. This volunteer works with other administrators of the region to ensure there are enough coaches to support the size of the region. Coordinate a pre-season coaches meeting where issues of sportsmanship, safety, new laws, and specific regional issues are presented. See that Coach Courses are conducted for all new coaches.
Safety Director
One of the 7 required Regional Board positions. The Safety Director is to serve as the Region focal point for Safety Awareness and Insurance Information. The primary responsibilities of the Safety Director include; Implementing a Regional Safety Plan including First aid kits, Field and equipment inspections, Injury prevention, Procedures for environmental hazards, Acting as the focal point for Insurance Information and safety awareness, Ensuring compliance with AYSO Emergency Treatment Authorization, Incident and Concussion Reporting.
Child & Volunteer Protection Advocate (CVPA)

One of the 7 required Regional Board positions. The CVPA serves as the Safe Haven program representative in the local Region. The primary responsibilities of the CVPA include; Screening Volunteers, Ensuring all approved volunteers are registered and assigned to their specific positions, Working with the Regional Coach Administrator, Regional Referee Administrator and Regional Commissioner to ensure that all coaches, referees and volunteers are properly trained and certified.

The Region Secretary is intended to help with Regional matters as needed. These duties would include; organize and schedule Region meetings, record minutes of the Region meetings and transcribe them for distribution to the Regional staff, assist fellow board members with uniforms, printing of materials, distributing flyers to TK Schools twice a year, and other tasks.
Field Coordinator

The AYSO volunteer position of field coordinator is intended to be responsible for maintenance of all playing fields. Assist the safety director in ensuring a proper and safe playing environment. Coordinate with the referee and the safety director the correction of any and all hazardous conditions on or near the playing fields. Arrange field maintenance – mowing, raking, etc. Organize and supervise the field painters.
Schedule Coordinator

The AYSO volunteer position of schedule coordinator is intended to facilitate the creation of match schedules with consultation from the Referee Administrator, and Coach Administrator. This person would attend two Area Schedule meetings a season to form the travel schedules for our travel teams. During the season schedule changes will inevitably happen, the Schedule Coordinator would work with coaches, fields, and the Referee Admin to make those changes.
